AIPH organizes the Young International Grower of the Year Award. The award ceremony will take place in January 2022 during the IPM in Essen.
AIPH organizes the Young Grower of the Year Award in collaboration with Jungle Talks of Ed Smit and Renée Snijders. The duo has been bringing top talents from international horticulture to the Netherlands under the name of Pr Manager Mastercourse for years. These top talents are managers between the ages of 25 and 40 who work for renowned floriculture and vegetable companies.
During the master course, the top talents will visit leading Dutch horticultural companies such as De Ridder, Koppert Biological Systems and Dümmen Orange. Various topics are discussed. This includes corporate culture and the preventive control of diseases and pests.
The master course could not take place last year; there will be one this year in November. Registration ends at the end of October. From the 15 participants in the master course, Smit and Snijders, in collaboration with AIPH, will make a selection that is eligible for the Young International Grower of the Year Award. The winner will be chosen during the IGOTY gala at IPM.
