De leden van de KVBC hebben Salvia ’Bocofpea’ (Feathers Peacock) gekozen als beste nieuwigheid van 2021. De verkiezing vond plaats tijdens de Algemene Ledenvergadering op 4 april.
Tijdens de jaarvergadering kiezen de leden uit de gouden medaillewinnaars van voorgaande jaar, de beste noviteit. De genomineerde planten waren Buddleja davidii ’Botex 006’ (Butterfly Candy Little Ruby), Hydrangea macrophylla ’Jong 02’ (After Midnight), Hydrangea paniculata ’Breg14’ (Polestar), Hydrangea paniculata ’LC NO12’ (Living Pinky Promise) en Salvia ’Bocofpea’ (Feathers Peacock).
Salvia Feathers Peacock is gewonnen door Kees Jan Kraan namens Boomkwekerij Boot&Dart en is ingezonden door Gebr. Th.& W. Alkemade in Lisse voor de keuring tijdens de KVBC Spring Challenge 2021 waar hij werd uitgeroepen tot de Beste Nieuwigheid KVBC Spring Challenge 2021.
