The Royal Horticultural Society is taking the lead in getting British gardeners to make greener choices, including fewer pesticides, less plastic, less peat and more disease prevention. Gardeners are also advised to choose British flowers and plants more often over import products.
Under the name Planet-Friendly Gardening, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has launched a campaign to green the gardening industry. “We believe that every gardener can help us mitigate against the climate crisis and help to reverse the biodiversity crisis,” says RHS Chief Executive Sue Biggs in the report released by the British organisation last autumn.
