Tambuzi first carbon-neutral flower nursery in the world

Tambuzi is the first cut-flower nursery in the world that has been certified as carbon neutral according to the One Carbon World footprint calculation. ‘The independent audits that we commission every year clearly indicate how devoted we are to maintaining the highest social and environmental standards in the world’, says Tim Hobbs. He runs the company in Kenya together with his wife Maggie.

Kenya-based Tambuzi has been commissioning footprint calculations for at least three years. For this purpose, owners Tim and Maggie Hobbs chose One Carbon World. That is a United Nations-backed non-profit organization that performs these calculations in various sectors. It makes Tambuzi the first flower nursery in the world to have been certified as carbon (i.e. CO2) neutral. (..)
