Retail Guru: ’Now is the time for horticulture’

Garden retail will have a bright future around the world, says international retail expert John Stanley.

The younger generation is not really interested in plants and gardening like the older generation, which is often said in the industry. But John Stanley disagrees with that. ’Millennials are interested in well-being, saving the planet and caring for the environment. And plants are all part of that.’

Regarding that Stanley is not concerned about plant sales. ’They will improve. Now is the time for horticulture. Our industry has opportunities, but also some challenges.’

Stanley explains the latest trends in international retail, in an upcoming interview with Floribusiness.

For years Stanley travels the world to help retailers with management, marketing and of course sale to consumers. Clients describe the Australian expert as The Retail Guru.
