HTA: Taupe Pot will be the new standard

At the HTA National Plant Show black pots no more dominated, but different colored recylable pots who could be the standard on the UK market.

That’s the goal of the Horticultural Trades Assocation who organized the HTA National Plant Show for the tenth time in Stoneleigh Park near Coventry, last June 18 and 19.

A remarkable number of UK growers presented their plants in taupe pots: gray-brown pots. That color can be separated from plastic waste, as the color black can’t according to the HTA.

Research by BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine showed that 75% of the UK public would be willing to pay extra for plants in recyclable pots.
