Flower Expo Ukraine 2017 is re-scheduled to 28-30 March 2017 because of the Eurovision Song Contest that will take place in Kiev next year.
In 2017 the European Song Contest will take place in the International Exhibition Centre (IEC) in Kiev, which is the same venue in which Flower Expo Ukraine is being organised.
Although that the Eurovision Song Contest will start on 9 May, the management of the International Exhibition Centre (IEC) have ordered all exhibitions, taking place after 1 April, to re-schedule their dates. The final decision on the venue and the host city has only been taken earlier this month.
The Eurovision Song Contest requires an extensive build-up period and that is the reason why the exhibition has to be re-scheduled from 4-6 April to 28-30 March 2017 (Tuesday – Thursday).
Despite the fact of this date change the organisers of Flower Expo Ukraine are pleased that the organisers of the Eurovision Song Contest, which is the world’s biggest music show, have chosen Kiev as host city.
The Eurovision Song Contest is broadcasted throughout 5 continents, this in combination with the fact that more than 180 million viewers worldwide watch the Eurovision Song Contest means huge exposure for Kiev and Ukraine.
Flower Expo Ukraine is being organised under the patronage of the Flower Council of Ukraine. Furthermore the event can count on the support from the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Netherlands Embassy in Kiev.
