Four day event Floral Helsinki 2017 brings national and Nordic top florists to the heart of Helsinki city this August. The floral event is open for the public from 10th August to 13th August, 2017.
Competing and competitions are a big part of floristry. Local, national and international competitions gather participants in great numbers worldwide. Finnish florists have achieved great international success in the last years. This time, they stand in the spotlight at home!
The main events of Floral Helsinki 2017 are the Finnish National Championship in floristry, on Friday 11th August, and the Nordic Championship in floristry on Saturday, 12th August. All the competition tasks will be presented for the audience to admire, and it is also possible to follow most of the competition tasks in progress.
Moreover, there will be other, complementing shows on the program throughout the event for everybody to experience, and Finnish plants and flowers will play a big part in the event. Finnish Nordic Championship in floristry is an individual competition, organized yearly. The Nordic Championship in floristry is a competition for national teams of four, organized every 2-3 years.
Floral Helsinki 2017 is a joint co-operation between the 85-years old Finnish Florists’ Association and 90-years old Interflora-Suomi ry.
