On September 2-4 the 28th International Exhibition Green is Life & Flower Expo Polska will take place in Warsaw. The exhibition is the largest presentation of ornamental plants in Central Europe. More than 146 companies from Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy and Denmark will attend the fair. Garden plants, which are the heart of the exhibition, will be accompanied by garden equipment, techniques and technologies for green areas and plant production, along with floristry.
Fair visitors, plant producers, traders and merchants from garden centers, can learn about the latest consumer trends and consider taking remedial actions (Alice Cecot), about the difficulties of new technologies and solutions concerning the introduction and development of e-commerce and the implementation of plant passports.
Strongly Green City
Landscape architects, garden contractors and representatives of local governments, local authorities and developers taking part in the Strongly Green City conference will learn about the investment and monetary value of plants, as well as their social, health and climatic values (Dr. Charlie Hall, Texas A&M University). They will be inspired by solutions of Polish designers. Or perhaps they will introduce concepts for the development of the city inscribed in the park (Tom Rozendal, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands). They will also find out how a platform based on GIS technologies helps in the management of greenery.
Florists and flower shop owners can view nearly 20 show and event compositions composed by florists that combine garden plants with cut flowers.
The icing on the cake is the Novelties Plant Competition. The jury will select winners from among the 26 taxa submitted, i.e. the most valuable plants with the greatest commercial potential.
