Chelsea Flower Show 2021 with extra precautions

The Royal Horticultural Society will be organizing the RHS Chelsea Flower Show again, in May 2021. With extra precautions due to corona.

For the first time in its 108 year history, the upcoming RHS Chelsea Flower Show will run shorter: from Tuesday 18 May to Sunday 23 May. During those six days, the RHS will also allow less visitors: a total of 140,000 visitors, compared to 168,500 back in 2019. The show will be a primarily outdoor event. Party indoor again, but visitors have to wear masks and they have to keep a social distance.

With these and other Covid measures, the RHS believes that it can operate the show safely for everyone.

This year the Virtual RHS Chelsea Flower Show has attracted 2.1 million visitors online. ’It’s fantastic’, responded Clematis breeder Raymond Evison back in May to Floribusiness magazine.
