Our customers are afraid to raise shop prices because everything else is also getting so expensive. However, if nobody in the chain earns any money anymore, the situation stops being sustainable. We could reduce the size of our bunches, some suggest, but consumers know whether the quality and presentation are right. Though I don’t believe that consumers would actually count the number of stems, they would hesitate if they saw a bunch that looked too thin, where the flower buds were too small or where the flowers seemed premature, and they wouldn’t buy it.
