Dutch Flower Group (DFG) has, again this year, nominated nine growers for the Dutch Flower Awards. This is the 16th time DFG has put its supply chain partners in the spotlight by awarding these honours.
Winners will be selected for three categories – Cut Flowers, Plants, and Growers Outside the Netherlands. This year, “digitalisation” is the central judging theme.
2017 nominees
For the Cut Flowers category, nominees are Sunlife Flowers (Helianthus), De Haas Calla’s (Zantedeschia, Helleborus) and Winco Holland (cut-Echeveria). In the Plants category, nominees are Ten Have Plant (Campanula, Cyclamen), Van der Voort Potplanten (Spatiphyllum, Azalea and Ludisia) and Oriental Growers (various including Bonsai, Lucky Bamboo and Cactus). Growers Verdes Export Maresme S.L. (Pistacia; decorative foliage, from Spain), Mystic Flowers (Roses, from Ecuador) and Nini Flowers (Roses, from Kenya) are the nominated foreign partners for this year’s Dutch Flower Awards.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Royal FloraHolland Trade Fair in Aalsmeer on Thursday 9 November at 15.00 (3.00pm) at the DFG stand 17.2.
Preferred Partner Recognition
After presenting the Dutch Flower Awards, DFG will also take a moment to single out the supply chain partner who has earned special recognition for their intensive and future-focussed cooperation with Dutch Flower Group businesses. Immediately after handing out the Dutch Flower Awards, the Preferred Partner Recognition prize will be presented by DFG’s CEO Marco van Zijverden.
